One of the best bakeries in Austin! They have amazing Asian-style pastries with incredibly soft, airy dough that practically melts in your mouth. There are so many different options and fillings, so there’s definitely something for everyone. I think the bakery is run by an older couple who make everything themselves. Their are incredibly sweet and friendly and really try their best to explain the different fillings and pastries. One thing to know: despite what some of the photos might suggest, there is no actual seating area where you can sit down and eat. You’ll need to take everything to go. We originally thought we could sit and enjoy the pastries there because we saw photos with a table and chairs, so I wanted to mention this for anyone planning a visit. Everything we tried was fresh, soft, and delicious. I definitely recommend giving this place a try! Just make sure to check the names and fillings beforehand so you know what you’re getting. Personally, I loved all the buns we tried, especially the sausage bun and the sweet coconut bun. Definitely coming back!

I stopped by Texas Bakery to grab a birthday cake, but I couldn't leave without picking up a few extra treats from the display case. The cake was soft, fresh, and just sweet enough without being overwhelming, and the pastries disappeared almost as soon as I set the box on the table. Everyone kept asking where I found them. Next time, I'll definitely be ordering more than I think I need.

Love this place! The bakery goods here bring me back, as someone who used to go to Flushing, Queens NY a lot. My SO tried meat floss bakery goods for the first time, he loved it. They even have homemade chinese donuts and bite-size sesame balls. They even have those egg pastries and mooncakes. Prices were reasonable too. She made recommendations and even threw in freebies because I got so much

I love this little bakery in the corner of Chinatown. They make their own mooncakes, offering red bean, coconut, and mung bean flavors. I love the sweet breads, and the egg tarts. Friendly service and good prices! Check em' out!

We love this little bakery in Austin's own Chinatown 💖 the couple that run this place are the cutest and sweetest people to be around, very passionate and happy about what they do. We try something new every time we come and 100% of what we've had so far is delicious. The prices are insanely low compared to the more "modern/hip" place but the quality here is superb. Highly recommend a visit or two or three or more for those of you who enjoy authentic Vietnamese baked goods and very beautiful souls.
